Getting your quilt finished is easy! Here’s what to do next
prep your quilt top & backing
Before sending your project, please:
Press and square up your quilt top, trimming any loose threads.
Prepare your backing: it should be fully pieced, squared, and 4" larger on all four sides—that’s 8" wider and 8" longer than your quilt top.
A little prep goes a long way toward a beautifully finished quilt!
fill out the intake form
Next, head to the intake form, found HERE. This gives me all the important details about your project, including:
Your edge-to-edge design choice (and if you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help!)
Whether you’ll purchase batting from me or send your own
Mailing vs. local drop-off/pick-up options
…and more.
look for your order number
Once your form is submitted, I’ll send you a confirmation email with your order number.
Please include this number with your quilt—printing the email and tucking it in with your project works perfectly.
If any design choices still need to be finalized, we’ll take care of them together via email.
send or drop off your quilt
Now it’s time to send your quilt top and backing!
You can mail your project or arrange for local drop-off/pick-up.
watch for your invoice
Once your quilt is finished, I’ll email you a photo of your finished quilting and an invoice for the quilting services.
Payment must be completed before your quilt is returned or available for pick-up.
enjoy your finished quilt
That’s it! Once payment is received, your beautifully quilted project will be on its way back to you or ready for you to pick up —usually within about two weeks from when I receive it.
